For the past 14 years ABS have been supplying Tapio Harvester heads to the forestry industry.

Prior to ABS supplying 600EXS heads, many Tapio 400's were already working in forests around the country. The Tapio 600EXS has been the favoured head in the range due to its improved sepcification and increased delimbing power. The main advantages of the Tapio 600EXS are the combination of low cost, ease of operation and ease of maintenance, allowing many contractors new to the mechanical harvesting section to gain a foothold in the market.

Various bases have been used to mount Tapio heads - ranging from 6 - 14 tonne tracked bases to various wheeled bases depending on the working conditions.
