A & B Services have been involved with the mechanical installation of Hydro Electric Schemes for over 15years. Our first installation of such a scheme for Caledonian Energy was at Rumbling Bridge, West of Kinross in Perthshire. Since then A & B Services have been involved in the installation of over 12 systems in places like Inver Garry, Duror, and Loch Awe, Lochaline and several in Highland Perthshire.

We work with a wide network of highly skilled professionals and suppliers in this field, from electricians, hydrologists, civil engineers and IT specialists. We have a very good relationship with Canyon Hydro, supplier of Turbines to many of the schemes in Scotland. In 2008 Steve went over to Canyon’s US HQ in Deming and spent time with their team of engineers and technicians. We also work closely with Cummins Generators and many other suppliers to the Hydro Electric industry. During 2010 we have been working with RWE Npower on some of their Hydro Schemes throughout Scotland.

A & B Services are not only involved in the installation of the hydro schemes but also offer a full maintenance service, which can be tailor made to the clients requirements. This can be anything from full maintenance contracts with responsibility for all the repair and maintenance to the scheme or just emergency calls when you need a bit more expertise.
